Tracy Day, MSN, APRN-CNP, PMHNP-BC, AMB-BC
Tracy is a board-certified mental health nurse practitioner in the Lufkin / Nacogdoches area with over 30 years of healthcare experience in a variety of medical settings. She performs diagnostic evaluations and uses a collaborative and individualized approach to treat mental health disorders in clients ages 12 and older.

At Waypoint, we perform a thorough and complete assessment for issues that can lead to mental health problems. Whether you’re experiencing anxiety symptoms, stress, symptoms of depression, or other challenges, we’ll talk with you one-on-one, listening for a close understanding of where you are, where you’d like to be, and how best to navigate that journey. Like a waypoint, we help you analyze your position, mark your progress, and remain on course.
In a diagnostic evaluation, we discuss your biopsychosocial history and assess for mental illness. Rating scales measure your symptom severity and response to treatment.
If medication is part of your treatment, your provider at Waypoint will prescribe, monitor, and adjust your medications as needed to achieve your desired outcomes.
Talk therapy helps you process issues verbally, gain insight into your feelings and behaviors, and identify change actions that can lead to improved personal wellness.

Waypoint Psychiatry offers telepsychiatry (virtual) appointments to clients anywhere in Texas. We are located in the Lufkin/Nacogdoches area and serve clients in the surrounding counties and beyond.
At Waypoint we value your privacy. We utilize a HIPAA compliant telemedicine platform that ensures data is properly secured and encrypted allowing you to attend a virtual appointment in a space in which you feel comfortable. You may meet with your provider via your cellphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer.
Does Waypoint Accept Insurance?
We are a self-pay practice accepting credit or debit cards, including HSA and FSA. All transactions are handled using an integrated payment and data security system that is PCI compliant to protect your personally identifiable and personal health information.
Insurance claims: If you have insurance we can provide a claim form for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
